Removing barriers, creating pathways

Investing in programs that expand access to healthcare education and strengthen the workforce where it's needed most—from inspiring individuals to discover healthcare careers to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of those already practicing.

The Covista Foundation, a public 501(c)(3) charity based in Chicago, IL, is the philanthropic arm of Covista, supporting charitable initiatives in healthcare education and workforce development.

In February 2026, Covista and the Covista Foundation announced the launch of Covista Open Doors, a multi-year impact commitment to build and sustain the healthcare workforce. Our focus is simple: inspire young people to pursue healthcare, remove barriers that stand in students' way of graduating and support the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare workers.

What we support

Across the healthcare career continuum, we invest in programs and organizations that:

Inspire individuals to discover healthcare careers

Break down financial barriers for students pursuing healthcare careers

Support the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare workers

Offer innovative solutions to healthcare workforce challenges

Our funding priorities

For 2026, we're funding programs in rural and underserved urban communities with healthcare workforce shortages, focusing on:
