Douglas Beck
Douglas Beck serves as general counsel, corporate secretary and head of the institutional support services function at Covista. He leads the company's legal and regulatory strategy, supporting Covista's efforts to expand access to healthcare education.
Beck’s leadership spans a wide range of legal domains including corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters, intellectual property, labor and employment, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and securities. In his role leading institutional support services, Beck’s team supports students in all non-academic aspects of their educational journey, reinforcing the company's commitment to student success and holistic support.
Before joining Covista in 2021, Beck held multiple senior leadership positions at Hub Group, a publicly traded transportation management company, where he served as executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary. During his ten-year tenure at Hub Group, Beck was instrumental in overseeing the company's legal and regulatory strategies, contributing significantly to its growth and operational success. His experience includes navigating complex regulatory environments and supporting strategic transactions. Prior to Hub Group, Beck held leadership roles at Alberto Culver, Navistar, and Allegiance Healthcare, where he honed his ability to provide strategic, results-oriented legal counsel across various industries.
Beck graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in American civilization and earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
