Amelia Manning
Amelia Manning serves as President of Chamberlain University, the largest school of nursing in the United States and a Covista institution. With more than two decades of higher education leadership, Manning brings a proven record of expanding access to education and driving student success at scale. Her work has directly strengthened the pipeline of practice-ready healthcare professionals that communities across the country depend on.
Her approach centers on building data-driven, student-centric cultures and systems that help students succeed. Manning's expertise spans enrollment growth, marketing, online learning, student support strategy, faculty development and the use of technology to improve higher education—capabilities she has applied across institutions serving working adults, military-connected students and lifelong learners.
Before joining Covista, Manning served as Dean of Tulane University's School of Professional Advancement, where she worked to expand access to workforce-aligned programs across a broad national audience. Prior to Tulane, she spent 20 years at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where she built its online student support model, oversaw innovative marketing and enrollment efforts that grew the institution to national scale and served most recently as Chief Operating Officer. Her data-driven approach generated a positive culture for students and employees alike—SNHU earned "Great Colleges to Work For" recognition for 12 consecutive years during her tenure.
Manning serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Urban College of Boston and as a Board Member of the American College of Education and iDesign.
Manning holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in gender studies from Saint Michael's College and a Master of Arts in counseling education from the University of New Hampshire. She completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
