    How long has Covista been in business?
    Covista Communications has been in business since 1983, and is one of the oldest telecommunication companies since deregulation of long distance services in 1982.

    RESIDENTIAL SERVICE

    Do I have to sign up on the Web or is there a toll-free number?
    You can sign up at www.kisslocal.com or call us at 1-800-323-6875. Our Web sign up is completely secure. All your information is kept confidential. See our security policies.

    Is my information safe?
    Your information is confidential and will not be used for any other purposes without your permission. All credit card information is encrypted for optimum security. For more details, see our security policies.

    Will my personal information be used for any other purposes?
    No. Your personal information will not be used for any other purposes without your permission.

    Can I sign up with multiple numbers?
    Absolutely. You can have as many numbers as you like at no additional charge.

    Do I have to make any term commitments or sign any contracts?
    No. There are no term commitments or contracts to sign. You can cancel your service at anytime with no further obligation.

    How long before my service is activated?
    In most cases, your service will be activated within two weeks and most likely within a few days. Service activation is dependent on your Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) and activation times vary in each calling area.

    Do my rates vary depending on the time of day I call?
    No. Unlike most plans offered by our competitors, KISS offers a flat rate for all your calls no matter what time of day.

    How do your long distance rates differ from other companies?
    KISS Long Distance rates are as much as 70% lower than our competitors. For more details, see our rates comparison.

    Are my calls billed in full minute increments?
    No. Your calls are billed in six (6) second increments, so unlike most other plans, you only pay for the time you talk. If you talk for 12 seconds, you only pay for 12 seconds, not a full minute.

    Can I use your service for international calls?
    Absolutely. We have some of the most competitive international rates in the industry.

    Is my credit card charged automatically?
    Yes, at the end of each billing month. You will receive an email confirming your charges. You can also log in anytime at www.covista.com/webcgi/residential.html or www.kisslocal.com and view your account status, including your bill.

    Will you notify me when my credit card is charged?
    Yes. You will receive an email confirming your charges and you can check your account status anytime at www.covista.com/webcgi/residential.html by logging in with your customer ID and password.

    Can I receive a bill through the mail?
    Yes. You can receive a paper copy of your bill through the mail for an additional $2 a month.

    Access fees often depending on the type of service and usage volumes. Your Covista representative can explain all associated services charges.

    Do you provide toll free services and call routing options?
    Yes. There are multiple call routing services available, including time of day routing, routing by location, or many other call routing choices. Ask your Covista sales representative about all your call routing options.

    Do you provide local service?
    Yes, we provide local service in limited states at this time, with plans to roll out local service nationwide in the near future. Ask your Covista sales representative whether local is available in your area.
